The Band

History

     THE JONES was born in September 2000, by the unification of Christophe, Marc, Franck (Ex. Mister Jones), Philippe and Jean-Pierre (Ex. Endless Dream).

     The quintet plays "Progressive metal" influenced by bands such as : Pain of Salvation, Vanden Plas, Dream Theater, Queensrÿche, or even Angra, Iron Maiden, Helloween, and so many other bands...

     June 2002, the band makes its first concert under this line-up at Guerville (France) for "la fête de la musique".
     Follow by other gigs which bring more maturity to the songs, and ease on stage for the 5 guys.

     November 2003, following the recording of the EP - 3 tracks "Inner Spaces",
Marc leaves the band, and 6 months later, Richard joined THE JONES to
become the new bassman.

     Today, "The Jones" recorded the "part 1" (7 titles+1 bonus track), of a
concept album containing 12 songs.

(Pre) Historical

1992 to 1997 : Mister Jones

Marc - Bass guitar

The "JONES concept" was born in March 1992, when Christophe and Franck decided to leave the band in which they had met each other 1 year earlier, to create "Mister Jones". Few weeks later,
Marc joined them to play the bass guitar.
In few months, the trio composed enough songs to record a
first demotape: "Number 1" including 6 tracks.

Practice sessions and some concerts followed...

1993, the 2nd demotape is recorded : "Return of The Jones" - 12 songs.

2 years later, the 3rd Demotape entitled "New Rules" is
born. with a colored jacket !
Still 12 songs, + a THE POLICE cover: "Message in a Bottle" - Mr JONES'style ! -

At the end of 1997, Marc announced to the band that he must move in province for
professional reasons, as a result forced to leave the Jones.
